1. In the video, it’s stated that the failure of metals start from the voids that originally
from the metals. Explain how this void become a starting point of failure until the
metals is totally failed.
2. How the microstructure of metals effect the failure of metals?
3. Where’s the highest stress occur when the metals start to have tension failure? Why?

Tittle: Failure of metals
1. You need to produce one video failure of metals by using one wire from metals.
2. You need to have a foot long of wire mesh/galvanised steel wire (as shown in a Figure
1 below. You can find it in hardware or might be from your house.

3. In your video, show how you cut the wire into two without using any tools.
4. Explain the process and properties occur when you try to cut the wire.
