 Every time you hear the word Socialization,  Sir, I think it is all about socializing with other

 Kindly read the meaning of Socialization? SOCIALIZATION- The process by which people learn
their culture. They do so by entering and disengaging

1. PRIMARY SOCIALIZATION

 How do you choose whom you are
socializing with?
 If you are in a group gathering how will
you behave? Is it depending on the
situation or you will just act what you
prefer to do?
3. ANTICIPATORY SOCIALIZATION
 It is changing ones attitude and behavior in
preparation for a shift in one’s role.
 Do you think it is necessary to change
ourselves when we are planning to shift in
one’s role?
4. RESOCIALIZATION
 One good example for this is by entering
military.
 So when you enter to a military
environment what did you observe on their
way of training their students?
 These are the inherited genes from our
parents starting when we are born.

 The process of learning, how to function in

 Just like, how we act as men and women,
how to eat, how to walk and etc.
 Yes it is helpful, just like giving respect to
those who are older than me. I used to say
“Po” and” Opo “every time I talked to them.

feel comfortable when I am with him/her.
 I will act depending on the situation. Good
manners should always be considered every
time we attend to any social gatherings.

the group that you like to join. You can also
easily adapt to whatever environment they
have.

 They have very strict rules which they need
to follow. They will really feel the hardship of
being a real soldier until they will realize the
importance of self-sacrifice for the

GROUP ACTIVITY: “SHOW ME A PICTURE”
 I will group you into three. Each group will
be given 2 kinds of Agents of Socialization.
 You will make a picture about the topic that
was given to your group. After doing a
picture, assign one of your group mates to
broadcast about, “Why is it consider to be
one of the Agent of Socialization?”
 I will give you 10 minutes to finish it.

 MASS MEDIA-Television permits imitation
and role playing but does not encourage
more complex forms of learning. Technology
is socializing families into multitasking as the

people so that we will learn new things,
acquire knowledge, ideas and values that will
help us to be a better person.
 For me I always go back to Good manners
and Right Conduct because this is what we
need all the time when we socialize to other
people.
