MATH STUDY GUIDE

Please use the multiplication chart and facts sheets that you were given to practice your multiplication
facts, specifically facts 2, 3, 5, 9, and 10.

Array Making
6 x 3 = 18 3 x 4 = 12
3 x 6 = 18 4 x 3 = 12

Vocabulary
Quotient— In a division problem, it is the number of items in each group and the

answer to a division problem

Even—a number ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 that is able to be equally distributed

Odd—a number ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 that is not able to be equally distributed

Variable—a letter that take the place of an unknown number in an equation

Factors—two numbers that you multiply together to get a product

Product—the answer you get when you multiply two factors together

Divisor—the number you divide by and the number of groups in a division problem

Dividend—the number being divided and the number of items you are trying to

distribute evenly

Commutative Property—no matter the order of factors, the product will be the same
(7 x 2= 14 and 2 x 7= 14)
