Situational Awareness
Worldwide  Florida experienced one of the largest spikes in new cases. The number of new cases reported
8,018,838 Confirmed each day had increased an average of roughly 46% in a single week, just as most of the state

 With confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide continuing to grow, scientists are pushing forward
United States with efforts to develop vaccines and treatments to slow the pandemic and lessen the disease’s

antivirals might work or whether new drugs could be developed to try to tackle the virus,”

Out-Wayne County  Governor Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-122, which allows for statutes of limitations to

 The Michigan National Guard continued its partnership with the Michigan Department of Health
and Human Services, Michigan State Police, and local health departments to offer COVID-19

Muskegon, Newago, Schoolcraft, and Wayne counties. Testing in Wayne County occurred at
Ecorse High School.
 Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin suggested the Trump administration was considering
sending Americans another round of stimulus checks to offset the financial pain caused by the
COVID-19 pandemic and the related economic lockdown.

Actions Taken
 Wayne County and Michigan National Guard provided free COVID-19 tests at Ecorse High
School on Saturday and Sunday.
 Wayne County Public Health has developed COVID-19 educational materials available for
download.
 The Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PHOC) is at FULL ACTIVATION.
