Can the world make chemical it needs without oil?

It is so easy to understand why oil is so essential in our lives. Oil has been considered

as the lifeblood of the industrialized nations has it has become the world's most important

source of energy since the mid-1950. Its benefit reaches to being the primary source of

petrochemical that industries and companies transform into versatile and valued material for

the modern life survival. Pesticides, detergents, tough and mouldable plastics, and gleaming

paints are all manufactured from the oil. In industries, natural gas and oil is taken through a

process that breaks the hydrocarbons into simpler compounds and then assembles them to

form molecules are of rich complexity. Discovery and availability of fossils fuels enable

industries to work more efficiently in their production. This is because reaction provides

pressure and heat in different result with other elements. These properties of the oil make it

be of great urgency in industries to produce chemicals and also weapons.

Although oil is essential for modern society even to function, what if we exhaust and

run out of fuel? As of late statistics report that between 1965 and 2005, humanity has an

increase in demand for crude oil by two and a half time. Lack of Oil would mean failure or

collapse of production of chemicals needed and support of daily human survival. To provide

a solution in such case, a fast increasing number of scientist and more so from industries are

trying to find a breakthrough on how the renewable energy could be enhanced that would

replace the oil and fossils fuels, considering that renewable energy would split abundant

molecules like water, nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon (iv) oxide into reactive agents[ CITATION

Rob19 \l 2057 ]. They sort to seek alternative due to the lengthy process involved in digging

and rearranging hydrocarbon. Another reason being, most of the industrial chemistry that use

petroleum account to about 14% of all related greenhouse gas emission that destroy and

affect environment.

To provide an answer to the question, it should first be noted that shifting the

lifeblood of companies and industries from oil and fossil fuel, to using renewable source of

energy would be possible. But it is not likely to happen on haste or sooner, due to

circumstances that the renewable sources of energy are too scarce and would require a well-

formulated procedure on how it will be effectively executed to avoid cases of exploitation

and waste, like when the supply of renewable electricity may exceed demand that would

result in unworthy usage result in affecting our natural environment.
