Nreal Light Mixed Reality Glasses

The Nreal Light glasses are able to offer a sharp and vivid image thanks to 1080p laser projectors (up to
60 fps) for each eye, all the while offering a 52-
degree field of view which easily beats the Magic
Leap One. And of course, you can still see the
outside world while enjoying your digital content.
The frame has dual microphones along the top for
clearer reception, along with stereo speakers
towards the end of both foldable arms (or you can
switch to Bluetooth headphones), plus brightness
buttons on one of the arms.

The race is on to produce an augmented or mixed reality headset that is both lightweight and functional
while promising the kind of magic that consumers have heard about for years through movies such
as Minority Report – where graphics are superimposed on your natural environment with such high quality
you can barely distinguish them from reality.

Nreal claims that Light MR glasses offer an immersive mixed reality experience with minimal latency,
spatial sound controls, voice interactions, and haptic feedback. Unlike conventional mixed reality glasses
like the Holo Lens  from Microsoft which feature 4 cameras, the Light comes equipped with just 2
cameras, something which has played a key role in making its design more user-friendly without cutting
corners on its core functionality.

The Light mixed reality glasses come with interchangeable lenses, with Nreal also offering the option to
use prescription lenses. To better suit the aesthetic taste of buyers, Nreal's offering will be available of
punchy shades. But there is a slight inconvenience with the Light glasses - the device in a number has to
be connected via a USB Type-C cable to an external computing pack. Nreal has revealed that the Light
can also function by connecting it with a compatible smartphone or PC.

The nReal Light glasses will go on sale in the first half of 2019 for US$1,000, with a content
partnership promised from Xiaomi.

AM STATION: DZMM RADYO PATROL 630

DZMM (630 AM) – operating as ABS-CBN DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 – is a 24-hour Filipino
language news/talk radio stationbroadcasting from Quezon City, Philippines, serving the Mega
Manila market. It is the flagship station of the Radyo Patrol Network owned by ABS-CBN. The
station's studio is located at the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center, Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, corner of Mother
Ignacia St., Brgy. South Triangle, Diliman, Quezon City and its 50,000 watt transmitter is located at F.
Navarette St., Brgy. Panghulo, Obando, Bulacan.

HISTORY

It began on October 19, 1953 when DZAQ, the forerunner of DZMM was the first radio station of the
former ABS (Alto Broadcasting System) of the Quirinos under President Elpidio Quirino's brother, Antonio
(originally came from the pre-1953 experimental station DZBC), opened its doors as a radio station using
the Filipino language in its broadcasts, following what DZBC had done before as the first ever radio station
in Manila using Filipino instead of the English language used by other stations at that time. DZAQ 620 kHz
featured news, variety and music programs on an AM format which then the progenitor of DZAQ-TV
3. Eddie Ilarde, Ike Lozada and German Moreno were the personalities of the station at that time. Its first
radio studios were in Manila, sharing the same building with the television studios.

Years later, when ABS and CBN were formally merged into a single network in 1967, DZAQ 620 kHz
switched frequencies with CBN-owned DZXL 960 kHz and was later rebranded as DZAQ Radyo Patrol
960 kHz, one of the pre-martial law flagship AM stations of ABS-CBN until 1972. Orly Mercado, who was
one of the station managers from 1969 to 1971, together with Ben Aniceto, came up with a vision to
establish a 24-hour all-news and all-talk radio station and ABS-CBN conceptualized it under the
name Radyo Patrol - the de facto successor of the short-lived 24 hour news station DZQL Radyo Reloj,
which CBN launched in 1956, and the first ever 24-hour news radio station in the country and in Southeast
Asia.

PRESENT

At present, DZMM is considered, and remains to be one of the top stations in the AM band in Metro
Manila (#1 in Vehicle Coincidental Survey for AM stations and Kantar Radio Ratings) and is recognized as
one of the most awarded radio stations in the Philippines by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng
Pilipinas (26th Golden Dove Awards Best AM Radio Station in Metro Manila), Rotary Club of Manila,
Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption and other award giving bodies.

FM STATION: 99.5 PLAY FM

DWRT-FM (99.5 MHz Metro Manila), currently branded as 99.5 Play
FM (stylized, 99.5 PL>Y FM), is a commercial radio station, operating 24
hours a day with a contemporary hit radio and OPM pop format. It is
owned and operated by Real Radio Network Inc., and is one of the
partner stations of Tiger 22 Media. Its studio is located at Unit 906-B,
Paragon Plaza Building, EDSA corner Reliance St, Mandaluyong City and its transmitter located at Palos
Verdes, Antipolo City.

HISTORY

Trans-Radio Broadcasting Corporation was established in 1971 by Emilio Tuason after he acquired
the AM radio franchise (980 kHz) of Transit Broadcasting Corporation, owned by the Vergara family.
Under Trans-Radio, the AM station adopted the call sign DZTR-AM “Radyo Pilipino”. In 1976, Trans-Radio
acquired an FM radio franchise (99.5 MHz) and adopted the call sign DWRT-FM.[1] It began broadcasting
on September 6, 1976 as "99.5 RT", which was the first Top 40 station in the Philippines. The station was
initially located at 10 Doña Natividad Building at Quezon Avenue (near the Welcome Rotonda) in Quezon
City. After the building caught fire two years later, it transferred to Suite 608 of the Pacific Bank Building
(now known as Security Bank Building) at 6776 Ayala Avenue in Makati City. Tuason also became one of
the station's deejays (his on-air names[2] were "J.W. Christian" and "E.T.") until personal problems forced
his retirement from the station in 1987. Mike Pedero, who was also one of its deejays, took care of the
programming until he left the station for RK96 Real Radio in 1980.

Play FM (2012–present)

On December 10, 2012 at 6 am, the station signed on as 99.5 Play FM. Socialite and eventologist Tim
Yap, RT mainstay Sam Oh, and former Magic jock Nikko were the first jocks to go on board that morning,
followed by the remaining RT jocks and selected jocks from Magic. The very first song played was "Play"
by Jennifer Lopez. The programming and imaging at that time is more identical to that of its parent
station, Magic 89.9, and the defunct 99.5 Hit FM, albeit catering to a young audience, whose
demographics included kids in high-school and college; from the aspirational to the affluent backgrounds.

Since its inception, the on-air staff has the liberty of time to talk before continuing the music playlist.
However, with the relaunch to its current format, most of them are given not more than 60 seconds every
time their voices go on the air (except for Paid Advertisements or promotional/sponsor announcements).
This strategy is being used to allow more songs to be played during the broadcast. The time-limit is not
applied to several shows like Club Play and Play It Live.

According to AGB Nielsen Philippines' Vehicle Coincidental Radio Listenership Survey (December 2014),
99.5 Play FM is the fastest-growing FM radio station in Mega Manila. From nothing to no. 11 in 7 months.
Most of the listeners are 16–25 years of age.
