    FINAL ACTIVITY NO. 1

    Solve what is being asked by drawing the diagram and showing the complete solution.

    1. A D’Arsonval meter movement with full scale current deflection rating of 1 mA and an
    internal resistance of 500 Ω is to be used in a half wave rectifier ac voltmeter. Calculate
    the AC and DC sensitivity and the value of multiplier resistor for a 30-V range (single
    diode arrangement).

    2. Calculate the AC and DC sensitivity and the value of the multiplier resistor required to
    limit current to the full scale current deflection. The following are the parameters of the
    ciurcuit with instrument rectifier:
    Ifs = 1 mA, Rm = 250 Ω, Rsh = 250 Ω, forward biased resistance of each diode = 300
    Ω, VRANGE = 20 Vac
