A big, big thank you! 

We want to take a moment to thank everyone - parents, coaches, and of course our players!
You all have been amazing handling the sudden change to our season. As everyone knows, all
basketball associations and clubs registered with Basketball New Brunswick (BNB) were
mandated to stop all operations in March due to COVID-19.

After several months and loosening of restrictions by the Provincial Government, ​BNB hosted
their annual Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 4th. Moncton Basketball Association was
in attendance to provide our annual association report.​ During this meeting, BNB released a
return to play plan for their groups. ​This plan follows Provincial Government guidelines, takes a
similar phased approach, and introduces a series of administrative components that must be in
place in order to operate safely and effectively. We have decided to piggyback on the success
of the virtual AGM and will host our own virtually as well.

As we plan for the return of basketball, we ask that you be on the lookout for our annual survey.
Similar to last year, this will be used as input toward our annual strategic plan and will also help
us as we resume our programming. Putting safety first, we are currently reviewing this
documentation and discussing how we can best return basketball and give the kids what they
want: running, jumping, dribbling, passing, and shooting! For the past week, we have been
handing out youth basketballs from our office location. We will continue to hand these out.

Now, more than ever, we need to work together to be able to deliver quality basketball
programming. With over 700 kids in our Moncton Basketball Association community, we need
your help to make a plan and achieve it. Are you able to help support this important cause?
