some of their learning off-campus.

as to cater for student demand for variety, access, recognition of diverse learning styles and student
control over and customizability of learning experience.
- Closely related to blended learning and open learning, a flexible learning design customizes
learning environments to meet the needs of learners using both technological and non-technological
tools.
Flexible learning modalities and alternatives may include (but not limited to) the following:
1. Modular Learning – a programmed independent learning using mainly printed instructional materials
(instructional manuals, learning guide, etc)
2. Multimedia Learning – using word, excel, jpeg, pdf, ppt or MP4 video formats that can be uploaded
and stored in devices
3. Modular Learning with the Aid of Multimedia (combination of modular and multimedia)
4. Mobile/Online learning – an approach which facilitates teaching and learning using mobile devices
such as laptops, tablets, smartphones etc.
