Daily Lesson Plan - Excerpt From “God Bless The Child” by Toni Morrison

1. Objectives:

Students will be able to analyze the development of theme 4 RL 8.2


within Toni Morrison’s God Help the Child by citing
supporting textual evidence. Determine a theme or central idea of a text and
analyze in detail its development over the course
of the text, including how it emerges and is
shaped and refined by specific details; provide
an accurate summary of the text-based upon this
analysis.
