Greetings Folks! Here is a little information about myself: My home is in Fort Collins, Colorado
and Cozumel, Mexico. I have been a career firefighter, Captain, Assistant Chief and educator for
32 years. I am married to my beautiful bride, Jane, with six children, eight grandchildren, and
two Chihuahuas. We split our time between Fort Collins and Cozumel, where we have
maintained a home since 1995.

In addition to my BLSA education role, I also work with fire departments to establish their
“Learning Cultures.” It has been an adventure to help develop the fire departments of Cozumel,
Playa Del Carmen, and Cancun, Mexico. I have earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration (Regis University, Denver), and Master of Education degrees (Jones International
University). I have been honored to serve on numerous fire service and educational boards; and I
currently serve as President of Bill Salmon Learning Associates, LLC, and as Assistant Chief of
Operations and Training for Boulder Rural Fire Rescue, Boulder, CO.
