In the aftermath of one of the biggest snowstorms in over a decade, SCCA members
braved the sidewalks and roads to gather at True Thai for a celebration of SCCA’s suc-
cesses in 2010. As a dedicated member of the neighborhood, Chuck Whitney, owner of Monthly Meetings are held

After folks loaded up their plates with Thai delicacies at the buffet, SCCA Vice Chair,

ing up the new deli in a down economy and for his commitment to providing fresh February 16

While perusing the various offers at the Seward Co-op (2823 East Franklin Avenue), shop-
pers were able to engage in a dialog with Tim and Pam McConville, two artists who spe-
cialize in stained and art glass works. In-between the wine-tasting at Zipp’s Liquors (2618
East Franklin Avenue) and the gingerbread house-making tutorial put on by Seward Re-
design (2619 East Franklin Avenue) and Brownsmith Restoration, frolickers were kept safe
by the neighborhood crossing guards who volunteered their time as part of a University of
Minnesota urban planning class.
