How to Lose a Candy

Yujin Lee (Julia)

Stiffened, molten, grained, framed…

Where death even shows perturbation.
Light then appears
Which conceals itself to a shadow
Where stupor devoured a single sign of spasm.

 Along that windy hill

Along the sun-filled nature
Taking a step forward to see the opalescent sky
Which was a sugar coat of the devil.
Sweet first taste leaves a bitter taste
.Candy wrappers suffocate them one by one…

Alas, what's important to them are,

Rules and schemes rather than peace and security.
Reopening a desolate assembly,
Candies bursting out
Bumblebees following viciously

Who is it for?
From where did it go wrong?
"How to Lose a Candy" delineates the Coronavirus outbreak in Korea. Where
the confirmed cases seem to decrease, the nonchalance of people again makes
the situation severe. In this chaos, schools are reopened which intimidate both
students and parents from the virus.

Candy symbolizes people who are attracted by the sweetness each other and go
outside defenselessly.
