WHERE TO FIND THE HAND OF GOD

Judges 14:5&6
5. Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the
vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would
have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his
mother what he had done.

Interpretation of texts
Samson did not know the extent to which what he was carrying could go. Before
this time, he had been experiencing the Holy Ghost moving him.

Judges 13:25
And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan
between Zorah and Eshtaol.
Definition of Terms
The hand of God:
1. The wonder working power of God.
2. The divine power of God that changes situations.
3. The power of God that heals.
WHERE TO FIND THE HAND OF GOD
In the bible, wherever hand of God or finger of God is mentioned, it is usually
associated with deliverance from trouble, healing, restoration etc.
The first place finger of God was mentioned in the bible is Exodus 8:19, where
God disgraced the magicians of pharaoh.
Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's
heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
The second mention is Ex 31:18, where Moses was given the law to guide the
Israelites from doing evil.
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him
upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the
finger of God.
And the last is in Luke 11:20, where the Lord was talking about casting out devils.
But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is
come upon you.
So, it is clear that this hand of God is hidden in the challenges of life. It is one of
our usual prayers that we want to see the hand of God in our lives. Many people
pray this every day that the hand of God should not depart from them. At the
same time we pray against troubles and negativities of life, whereas the hand of
God is hidden in these difficult situations of life.
Many a believer today runs from troubles. They don’t want to experience
anything related to challenges and difficult situations of life
1. In difficult situations of life.
2. How will you know God can protect if nothing threatens your safety?
3. How will you know God can heal if there was no sickness?
4. How will you know God can provide if there is nothing like lack.
In the book of Proverbs 18 verse 10, the bible says, “The name of the LORD is a
strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
The name of the Lord:
1. Saves from trouble and in trouble
2. Delivers from whatever threatens one’s safety.
As a believer, whenever we meet difficult situations in our life journey, we should
be happy. We should see it as new avenues to show case the God we carry.
1. How do you expect your faith to grow without test and trials?
2. How do you expect your faith to grow without using it to change difficult
situations of life.
Difficult situations of life are inevitable, whether you desire them or not. God
never told us we won’t have difficult times, he only promised us deliverance and
safety.
CONCLUSION
Stop running from difficult situations of life. They are there to show you your
strength in God. Face them, you will win because it is in them that you see the
wonders of the hand of God.
