TEACHING CONTRACT

 
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This TEACHING CONTRACT is made and executed by and between:


 
  VICTORY-BEL CHRISTIAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL INC., situated at
Barangay Talanghauan, Cabatuan, Iloilo, and represented by its, School Principal,
BELEN M. HUYO, of legal age, Filipino, single and a resident of Barangay ________,
Cabatuan, Iloilo, hereinafter referred to as the “THE SCHOOL”;
 
-AND-
 
       ______________________________________________________________, of legal age, Filipino,
single/married and a resident of _____________________________, hereinafter referred
to as the “THE TEACHER”.
 

By entering into this contract, both THE SCHOOL and THE TEACHER hereby agree
to the following:

1. EMPLOYMENT PERIOD 

THE TEACHER is employed as a full time teacher for two school years staring the
School Year _____ to _______, unless extended, with a monthly salary of
___________________ ( Php _________ ), subject to the government-mandated
deductions to be borne by the employee, every 15th and last day of the month.

THE SCHOOL may, grant increase in compensation subject to the available tuition
fee increase for the school year THE TEACHER is employed. THE SCHOOL may
likewise grant bonuses, or benefits define in this contract. Such exercise of
discretion shall not be considered as established practice or precedent and shall not
be demandable under this Employment Agreement or any other written or
unwritten agreement.

2. HOURS OF WORK

THE TEACHER shall work with the following schedule:

The work schedule may be changed by THE SCHOOL or its Management as it


may deem necessary to meet its operational requirements. THE TEACHER may be
required to work more than his regular work schedule due to the demands of the
business or the requirements of THE SCHOOL.

3. MANDATORY BENEFITS

Benefits that are mandated by law such as PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, SSS and 13th
Month Pay, which will be provided to the TEACHER upon the signing of this

agreement, shall be paid and provided by the SCHOOL as mandated by existing
laws and regulations.

4. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEACHER

THE TEACHER shall work to the best of his/her abilities to teach his/her students
as efficiently as possible and within the general goals and guidelines set forth by
the school. THE TEACHER will familiarize him/herself with THE SCHOOL’s
policies, programs and curricula and attempt to meet the general timetable outlined
THE SCHOOL.

THE TEACHER shall observe punctuality and report to class on a regular basis.

THE TEACHER shall prepare for each class with his/her Daily Lesson Log in all
subject areas being taught based in the latest applicable DepED Learning
Competencies and subject area textbooks

THE TEACHER is responsible for the general atmosphere and conduct, academic
and social, in his/her classroom and behavior of students during his/her class hours,
including break time.

THE TEACHER shall conduct and dress him/herself in a professional manner.

THE TEACHER shall report any specific student difficulties, academic or social,
to THE SCHOOL’s management and, with their assistance, communicate with the
students’ parents in order to effect appropriate solution to the problem.

THE TEACHER shall attend teachers’ meeting as scheduled, if any.

THE TEACHER is not allowed to collect fees or contributions of any kind from
pupils and parents without the written approval of THE SCHOOL.

5. EMPLOYMENT OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL

THE TEACHER my accept tutorials provided that: 1) the person he/she teaches is
not with her own pupils in school; 2) the tutorial session must be outside school
hours, and 3) the tutorials shall not be prejudicial to the teacher’s school work or
school activities. THE TEACHER my conduct his/her tutorial sessions inside the
school premises and shall be charged by THE SCHOOL of the agreed percentage
or portion of the tutorial fees.

6. TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT

THE SCHOOL may terminate the employment for any of the just or authorized
causes provided by law , including the analogous causes specified in the School
Policies and Regulations, if any.
 
THE TEACHER shall give a written notice of his/her intention to resign from
his/her employment at least Thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of his/her
resignation.

This CONTRACT shall be valid and binding between the parties, their
successors-in-interest and assigns.
 
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties herein affixed their signatures on the date
and place above written.

acknowledgement is written, has been signed on each and every page thereof by the
concerned parties and their witnesses, and sealed with my notarial seal.
