 People in Scheemda are generally happy with the

level of amenities in the village

 It is notable from this map that the amenities of

Scheemda are very spread out throughout the village

 Our interview results confirmed that the bridge in the

centre is a bottleneck for traffic in the village.

 The interviewee’s where happy with the centre of

Scheemda but stated that the parking in the centre
can get rather messy sometimes and that there are
very few options for going out in Scheemda

the sports facilities in the south and the village
centre in the north. They also show that the new
primary school is near to this location as well.

 So what can you do with such a

location? A few examples:

 Sit alongside the canal

 Meet people
 Use it an open air cinema
 Swim in the canal
 Organize a village barbecue
 Use it as an open air stage

that Waterfront Scheemda seeks to
meet:

Scheemda by creating a platform on
which events can be organised

experienced livability into the heart of
Scheemda

 The slogan “Livability at the core of Scheemda” has a double meaning.

 The first one is very literal, meaning that this development is taking place in the centre
(core) of Scheemda.

 The second meaning is that the main aim of the project is to enhance the Livability of
Scheemda, this goal is at the core of this draft idea.
