PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Single pack, High solid, Fast drying, Durable, Retro - reflective Water Borne Acrylic Road Marking Paint

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

• Ensure that the road surface is clean from dust, oil and grease
• For thorough removal of dust from the surface, wire brushing & water washing is recommended
• Heavy deposits of earlier paint or thermoplastic should be removed
• The surface should be dry and free from moisture
• Surface temperature must be atleast 3°C above dew point but not above 60°C
• Do not paint at temperatures below 10°C or at relative humidity over 85%
• Under cold and humid conditions, the paint would require longer drying time

Mixing

If settling is observed in the drum, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by power driven
stirrer for quick homogenous mixing.

Application

• The product is formulated for air/ airless spray application only. The equipment selected i.e. all the tanks, spray
gun, piping, valves, strainers etc. should be grade 304 stainless steel or higher. Confirm the compatibility of
the selected equipment with the machine supplier prior to commencement of operations
• While thinning is normally not recommended, if required thin sparingly with water. When spraying, prevent air
from entering the material system. Delay in drying time is anticipated after thinning

 • Typically, 350 gms/ Sqm glass beads are required. The glass beads must be immediately dropped at
appropriate pressure for optimum penetration in the stripe thereby ensuring long-term retro reflectivity. The
glass beads of the specified diameter should only be used. Smaller diameter glass bead would imply the need
for a lower WFT thereby reducing the effective service life of the coating
• The equipment must be cleaned immediately after use. Tanks, lines and gun should be thoroughly cleaned
using clean water. Any paint that has dried and doesn’t readily wash with water can be removed using ketonic
solvents.

STORAGE & PACKING

Storage: A minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in a cool, dry and covered place
Packing: 20 Kg

SAFETY INFORMATION
• As a general safety measure, inhalation of paint mist and contact of liquid paint with skin & eyes should be
avoided
• Forced ventilation should be provided when applying paint in confined spaces or stagnant air
• Even when ventilation is provided, respiratory, skin and eye protection are always recommended when spraying
paint
