SABA User’s Guide

The SABA Learning Management System enables you to access required or optional trainings when it’s most
convenient for you. Since this is a web-based program, you are not limited to being in the office at your desk,
in order to take a course.

From any computer with Internet Explorer, you will log onto:

o Username – (this is your peoplesoft / employee id #, always starts with 00)

o Password – welcome (case sensitive)

After you log on you will be able to edit your personal profile and change your password. Although
you can access SABA through Mozilla Firefox, it does not allow all of the functionalities. Only use
Internet Explorer.

You will now be at the Home Page. Your Home page provides you with a summary view of information and
activities as well as quick access to common tasks.

The fastest way to search for a course is to click on Browse by Category in the Catalog Search window to
the right of your screen. Leave the search window blank as this will allow all categories to come up. From
here you will choose the necessary category and all offerings will be displayed.

Courses are listed alphabetically. Once you have found the desired course, all you have to do is launch it.
SABA will record every course you have launched. A certificate of completion is available for any training
provided from the State OTWD. For FEMA courses such as IS-100b, IS-700, and IS-200, you will be
required to take a test. After you have submitted your answers, a completion certificate will be emailed to you
if you have passed the course. You have unlimited attempts to complete these courses. If you need to re-
take an exam, do so as soon as you can.
As of now, SABA can not record the completion of courses linked through the FEMA site. You will need to
send a copy, or email your completion certificates to:
