Subject

 To share the knowledge about FM 400 engine.

 

Problem/ Complaint

Engine stalling and exhaust temperature higher than normal.

Symptom

No error on I-ECU but boost pressure sensor gauge indication was yellow zone even if engine 550 rpm (idle).

Troubleshooting /Service Step

Boost pressure sensor was abnormal and fuel injection of injectors was incorrect amount. So, engine stalling with
load and exhaust temperature higher than normal. Changed new sensor and tested the truck with load. Engine
torque was normal and exhaust temperature was OK.

Analysis

To getting good performance of engine, most of sensors functions (especially, turbo boost pressure sensor) have to
correct.
