Description:

Waste management is the collection, transport, processing or disposal ,managing and

monitoring of waste materials. The term usually relates to materials produced by human
activity, and the process is generally undertaken to reduce their effect on health, the
environment or aesthetics. The threat of waste to environment, health and safety is huge. And
so are the financial and social ramification, waste experts say. Pollution runs into rivers and
seeps into ground water. Flooding is caused by garbage clogging drains, and the atmosphere
can be poisoned by the toxic discharge from trash.
School Integration and Segregation. The massive effort to desegregate public schools across
the United States was a major goals of the Civil Rights Movement. Waste segregation means
dividing waste into dry and wet. Dry waste includes wood and related products, metals and
glass. Wet waste typically refers to organic waste usually generated by eating establishments
and are heavy in weight due to dampness.
