ESACOTE PU 73

DESCRIPTION

ESACOTE PU 73 is a waterborne dispersion of an aliphatic polyurethane based on

polycarbonate diols, which is able to form hard and transparent films with excellent
resistance to yellowing.

APPLICATION

ESACOTE PU 73 is suitable for wood flooring, also in combination with acrylic resins, as
well as top-coat for epoxy flooring. ESACOTE PU 73 can be used also in metal coating
applications.

When combined with acrylic resins, ESACOTE PU 73 is suitable to improve film body,
hardness, toughness and chemical resistance.

ESACOTE PU 73 can be crosslinked with water dispersible isocyanates, in order to

improve aesthetics, chemical resistance and mechanical properties.

ESACOTE PU 73 is film-forming at ambient temperature (above 15°C preferentially). In

order to improve wetting/open time properties it is possible to add suitable organic co-
solvents, preferably glycol ethers, in the formulation. For a better dispersion the co-
solvents should preferably be added in pre-diluted form (1:1 in water).

STORAGE

ESACOTE PU 73 can be stored in drums or IBCs at temperatures ranging from +5°C to

+35°C. Keep the product away from cold. If stored at the above conditions, ESACOTE
PU73 keeps its stability at least for 6 months.
