1) Illustrate your dissertation work on basis of Objectives, Research Methodology,

Main results/findings and Conclusions.


Ans: The topic for my dissertation is “A study on the impact of the supply chain management
in flip kart “. In this I came across I came across different processes that are taking from
ordering taking to order delivering to the customer. As we know that supply chain is one of
the most important activity for a company to bank upon as this will help the companies to make
profits if it is managed properly and deliver customers. If the companies don’t take care, it may
lead to losing the profits and ultimately lead to longer lead time which may result in
dissatisfaction of the customer.

The main objectives of my project are to find out the effective supply chain management and
to know the impact of supply chain management on increase turnover and profit. It’s true that
good supply chain may lead to earn profit.
The research methodology for my project is secondary data which I got from many journals,
articles and previous researches and news article.
As we know that availability of good supply chain technology and the way it's implementing
in FLIPKART, from this it's very clear that the responsibility and utmost care taken by the
company’s top management to safeguard the environment. Consistent with a corporation they
need to cultivate the state of the simplest practices for survival and differentiate from other
competitors. the corporate is following its principles to implement each phase and that they are
currently symbolizing these principles because the policy for his or her practices. the corporate
is documented about the environmental effects if they're not giving concern to the greening
process because for a producing firm every phase of the project, they need to affect some
substances that are harmful to nature and citizens. this is often the first reason why the corporate
setups special chemical management division to spot the chemicals and toxic particles which
will create severe impact and by replacing with the greening process or using non-toxic
materials. Although the availability chain process requires tons of care. There are various sorts
of methods that the corporate adopted to practice the greening process.
From material procurement to finish customer delivery and thru their single-phase process the
corporate can save tons of resources for his or her future or they will use during the uncertainty.
they're saving approximately 15tonnes of energy per annum by using their sunlight as a source
to run their day to day operations in their warehouse. The warehouse is provided with around
12000 solar panels to make sure that they're getting 20% of energy consumption for his or her
operation purpose. Through this technology, they will provide logistics in good economies of
scale. They are replacing the traditional truck with cell and battery-powered by adding the
state-of-the-art regenerative braking system. By using different methods to capture and use
solar heating and electricity and are using renewable biomass as an alternate to gas for heating.
They also work to realize the foremost efficient methods of transporting parts and finished
vehicles, using better logistics and transport methods
With less environmental impact.
Some of the practices followed by Flipkart are –
1) They have strong and reinforced human resource management to spot their talents
and interests.
2) Top management is giving equal reference to every employee and that they are
willing to simply accept the thought and suggestions from the lower level hierarchies.
3) The way of encouraging the workers results in the generation of innovative ideas
that paved the trail for the green supply chain process.
4) Know the way to keep a relationship with their supplier and provides training to
them for participating within the greening practices.
5) Flipkart encompasses best practices to scale back carbon emissions across the
availability chain, from material supply, product design, manufacturing, distribution,
delivery, and eventually recycling at the top of the life cycle.
The main conclusion of my project is that SCM is help the flip kart to make profit and there
has been a drastic increase in the turnover and satisfaction of the customer. Company is
slowing adapting the advanced supply chain technologies which helped them to gain
advantage over the competitors.

2) ‘IQ can get you hired, and EQ can get you fired or promoted.’ Do you agree to the
statement? Appraise IQ and EQ and justify your answer.

Ans: Generally emotional intelligence, also called EQ and this is the ability to be aware of
and manage emotions and relationships. It’s a main factor in everyone’s professional
and personal success. IQ will get you in the door, but it’s your EQ – your ability to
interact effectively while managing your emotions and others’ emotions – that’ll
determine your success in life.

We’ve all worked with and listened to brilliant people. Some were great and…well, some
weren’t so great. The mean and the meek and all those in between can teach us more
than they realize. When we look at the truly extraordinary leaders who inspire and
make a difference, you’ll see they do this by connecting with people at a
personal and emotional level. What differentiated them was not their IQ but their EQ –
their emotional intelligence.
1. Self-awareness
The ability to recognize and understand your personal moods and emotions and their
effect on others. Strong self-awareness means having a clear understanding of your
strengths and weakness and operating with humility and kindness.

2. Self-regulation
The ability to control or redirect disruptive impulses and moods along with the
propensity to suspend judgement and think before acting. People who have high self-
regulation rarely verbally attack others, make rushed or emotional decisions, gossip or
comprise their values.

3. Internal-motivation
Those with a passion to work and pursue goals with energy and persistence have solid
internal motivation. They’ve a strong commitment to their job and duties with
extremely high standards for the quality of their work.

4. Empathy
The ability to put yourselves in their shoes – understand the emotional makeup of other
people. Strong empathy allows you to successfully manage a team or organization.
Leaders with empathy have expertise in developing and retaining people, cross-cultural
sensitivity, giving constructive feedback and serving their clients and customers.

5. Social Skills
Proficiency in managing relationships and building networks with the ability to find
common ground and build rapport. Leaders with strong social skills have excellent
communication abilities, they’re effective in leading change and set examples with their
own behaviour:

Finally I can say that two play a major role in the everyone life to grow. A leader have to
develop both EQ and IQ so that he can know the views of others.
