HEAT- FLOW ENGINEERING

Measurement of Velocity and Pressure

Height Change in Ideal Fluids
(Report of Experiment 1)

Department: Mechanical Engineering

A) THE AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT

Experimental measurement of velocity and pressure height in
different water flow streams.

B) EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
-Integrate water into the system from Column 1.

-Open the main shawl.

-Start the pump.

-Open the loading valve and set flow.

-Record the water levels in the columns and in the cross sections.

Conclusion
Venturimeter allows us to experimentally measure velocity and
pressure heights at different flow rates. We've seen speed changes
in the experiment, because there is resistance to water in the
environment.
