How can we protect environment?

Here are some tips:

1. Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to
conserve natural resources and landfill space.
2. Volunteer. Volunteer for cleanups in your community. You can get involved in protecting
your watershed, too.
3. Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end
up in the ocean.
4. Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.

5. Plant a tree. Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help
combat climate change.

6. Don't send chemicals into our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and
office.

What is the best way to reduce wasting resources?

There is no specific formula to reduce wasting resources, it’s just some efforts each individual can put in
to stop wasting their part of resources. This is no rocket science, it’s just about being aware of our usage
and making sure that we don’t use things more than what we want.

Few simple tips:

1. While order food in restaurant, keep your dishes list small. This way you won’t be wasting any
food. If you still feel hungry you can order but make sure you don’t waste it.
2. Don’t buy food times in bulk which has shorter shelf life. Like dairy products, meat, buy them
fresh and consume them.
3. Buy appliances which save electricity. Keep a track on the electricity bill to know how much
energy you are utilizing and how much are wasting.
