Rate Card 2010

Photography Day Rates.

Full day (8 hours) R 9,000.00

Half day (4 hours) R 6,500.00
Extended day (10 hours) R 11,000.00
Travel day (1/2 of full day rate) R 4,500.00

Overtime.

Hours are calculated from when the shoot begins to when the set is vacated
Overtime (per hour or part thereof) R 1,250.00

Materials.

Materials hire per shoot R 5,500.00

This fee cover the hire of the following equipment:

* Basic camera kit (includes phase one 65+, or p30+ digital back and 65 df body)
* Manfrotto heavy duty tripod and head
* Lenses (includes 3 schneider prime lenses (55, 80, 110)
* 6 x lithium aa batteries
* 17” Apple laptop with Adobe Photoshop CS5
* 2 x Pocket Wizards

Specialist Equipment.

Lenses or camera hire will be charged at industry rental rate when required. Should client / agency /
APCC wish to hire this equipment on MAN’s behalf they are welcome to do so at www.photohire.co.za.

Lighting.

Lights per shoot R 3,500.00

Location kit generator R 850.00

This fee covers the hire of the following equipment:

* Basic lighting kit
* Heads 4 x 1200 mono block heads & 2 s heads
* Packs 1 x 200 power pack
* 6 Stands
* Cables
* 6 Spill kills
* 4 Softboxes square and octagonal
* 2 Umbrellas

Tungsten lights and accessories, as well as specialised skrims and stands to be an extra charged if the
shoot requires this. Should client / agency / APCC wish to hire this equipment from MAN, they are
welcome to do so once MAN has handed in a shoot specific lighting list.
Post Production.

Post production per image R 2,100.00

This fee covers the time it takes to select relevant images, processing of images, clean up of images,
balancing and prep of images for retouching. The above costs depends on the number of shots.

Digital Assistant.

Full day (8 hours) R 1,800.00

Half day (4 hours) R 1,100.00

Additional Costs.

Data bundles sending of images R 175.00

Telephone calls R 150.00

Studio hire.

Studio hire - Full day (8 hours) R 3,500.00

Studio overtime (per hour or part thereof) R 650.00

Studio hire fee covers the following items:

* Tea, milk and coffee
* Electricity
* Studio assistant
* Poly boards
* Poly board rollers
* Infinity tables
* Prop tables
* Make up and hair set up
* Styling and wardrobe area

If studio area needs to be painted white, an extra cost of R 1,500 will apply.

Studio colour change R 1,500.00

(add R 2,500.00 to restore the wall to it’s original colour.)

Retouching.

Retouching per hour R 550.00

Colour proof if required R 950.00

Retouching fee covers the time it takes to:

* Assembly of various elements of image
* Blending
* Treatment

Travel.

Travel per kilometer R 4.80

(As per AA travel rate - 4X4)
Courier.

Disc delivery in Johannesburg R 250.00

Disc delivery in Cape Town Area dependant

Agency can arrange disc collection if they wish.

Additional Pre Production Meetings.

Additional pre production meetings R 2,450.00

1 Client and 1 Pre production meetings are accounted for. Fee applies should there be more than 1 PPM.

Production.

Pre production - Full day (8 hours) R 2,000.00

Pre production - Half day (4 hours) R 1,500.00

Proactive Rates.

All hard costs as above to be covered. A nominal fee day rate of R 3,600.00 per shot (suggested).
This fee is negotiable subject amount of paying work that has been awarded.
