should undergo a medical examination
before the start of the campaign. This
should be carried out by a physician
who has knowledge about insecticide
toxicology and is aware of the risks to
which locust control staff may be
exposed. Specific attention should be
paid to medical conditions that may
increase susceptibility to insecticides
(e.g. skin lesions, liver disease, chronic
alcoholism, haemolytic anaemia,
malnutrition)
