THE ERASER (Ingles LL)
THE ERASER (Ingles LL)
But, Edward Nairne stealed the discovery of Joseph Priestley, marketing it for
three shillings every one and and he became "the creator of the eraser".
Until then, the bread crumb was used as an element to manufacture the
eraser. But the eraser rotted and smelled bad until Charles Goodyear
resolved the problem with a vulcanization process in 1844.
In today, the eraser is made from a raw material extracted from the rubber
tree in Brazil and it is very common to use it in schools and offices.
