Personal Attributes

Self-starter, Goal-getter and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision. Quick to
learn new concepts and adaptable to work environmental changes. Results driven, deriving a lot of
satisfaction from positive achievements. Always eager to learn new things from own research and
from peers, superiors and subordinates. I like to share useful information with others. Never giving
up in a problem solving. I also trust my work and discussing with others before execution.

Personal Achievements

Timed-served journeyman. Completed Apprenticeship in 1988 at AA mines. Became foreman in

1992 in the hydraulic plant in charge of fixed plant and earthmoving automobile vehicles. Became
the first foreman to be promoted to grade five in a performance related system that had been
introduced to reward according to results. Grade five was the ceiling. Achieved the highest mark in
a course conducted by Atlas-Copco South Africa in Wagner Mining Vehicles in 1999. In the same
year vehicle availabilities at Trojan Mine hit an all-time low and I was seconded by Hubert Davies
as the foreman managed to bring the plant available time back to budget. This led to Hubert
Davies being awarded a lucrative contract that ran from 2000 to 2004 end. During this time I was
managing the workshops and training artisans and semi-skilled personnel. We also got accredited
with the SAZ ISO 14001 environmental standard in all our workshops where I was the key role
player.
