What is the influence
for my intertextual
images?
I decided to base my images off a book that I am currently
reading called, 'The Dinner Party'. The book is a thriller about
8 friends that meet up for a dinner party, but it then turns into a
murder mystery. Inspired by the simplistic book cover, I wanted
to create the same feel and aesthetic in my images however
adding my own spin to it and telling the story through a series
of images.
Reasoning behind my images
I chose to use a dark filter throughout the majority of images to really set the tone and
create an ominous atmosphere. I think this worked well when looking back at the
images as they hold an almost uncomfortable feel for the viewer.

I decided to spill the glass of 'wine' to signify the blood that has been spilt due to the
mystery murders in the book. I think this worked how I had imagined and in retrospect
I think this whole shoot came out exactly how I had anticipated. It was undoubtedly
hard to think of ideas initially but after a while this idea came to light and was carried
out well.
