Thank you for your nice letter. I was very glad to get it.

You ask me to tell you about my Christmas holiday. Well, on the fourth of January I went on a trip
to Transcarpathia with my wife. We visited some interesting places there, saw decorations and
holiday illumination in the streets Uzhgorod and also visited the majestic Palanok castle in
Mukachevo. Christmas evening was unforgettable, with amazing Ukrainian traditions. We ate some
local dishes and tried local drinks. I met interesting people during my trip and made friends with
some of them. And visiting well-known villages Kosyno and Lumshory, with their thermal sources,
was especially impressive. It's so cool to swim in a hot bath in winter! I took many interesting
photos. I'm going to send some of them to you over the internet. In short, we had a good rest and I
liked my trip very much.
