 GENERAL
RULES AND
REGULATIONS
1. Only students of classes 11 and 12 may participate.
2. Dress code: Full School Uniform along with SCHOOL ID CARD
(except Just Act and Solo Dance).
3. The participants must wear their ID Cards throughout the
duration of the event.
4. Students must register themselves via the Google Form given below
by July 2, 2020.
5. For events which require prior submission, participants must start
sending in their submissions as soon as the allotment list for events is
released. Participants must not wait till the last date to submit their
content.
6. Participants of Fit India, Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Just Act are
required to give a 10 second introduction (This will NOT be included
in the participant’s Time Limit) in the beginning of their video stating
the following:

"I, (Name of Participant) of (Class of Participant), am recording the

following video as my submission for Columban Fest 2020 for
(Participating Event), Pool (A or B).

7. The Fest shall commence at 7:30 am with the opening ceremony,

where all other relevant details shall be provided, after which the
events shall commence at 8:00 am.
8. The Core Committee of the Columban Fest 2020-21 owns all
proprietary rights to all the materials sent in by the participants and
retains all rights to their contents, and the content shall be utilized only
for the purposes of the Columban Fest 2020.

The Intra-Columban Fest shall be conducted in the following format:

There will be 2 pools - Pool A and Pool B, the events of which will be
held on 2 different time slots.

Pool A - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on 24th July, 2020

Pool B - 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on 24th July, 2020

Both the pools will contain the same 7 events:

• SOLO SINGING
• SOLO DANCE
• ART COMPETITION
• PHOTOGRAPHY
• LOGO DESIGNING
• JUST ACT

The participants interested in QUZZING can only

register themselves once, as a team of 3 or 4, because
QUZZING will be a longer event. Hence participants
registering for QUZZING cannot participate in any
event other than QUZZING, for the entire duration of
the fest.

For the participants registering in the other 7 Events:

1. It is compulsory for all students to participate in two events, 1

event in pool A and 1 event in pool B.
2. Participants participating in a particular event in pool A, cannot
participate in the same event in pool B

1. Participants will record a video of them performing the PUSHUP exercise.

2. Video time limit: 59 seconds. (Exclusive of Introduction)
3. Participants who perform the most number of push-ups in the allotted time
will win.
4. If required to rest, the participant is allowed to do so with arms extended but
only while remaining in the push-up position. Push-ups after an invalid rest
will not be counted.

a karaoke version of their song.
5. Video Time Limit: 120 seconds. (Exclusive of Introduction)
6. Participants must not play any instruments in the video.

does not contain offensive or explicit lyrics.

TOPIC: M.E.A.L. (Music, Entertainment, Art, Literature)

1. Join the voice channel (at the bottom left of the screen). That is where every
participant, spectator, moderator and the QuizMaster – everyone who needs to
hear the question, will be at.
2. QuizMaster displays the question slide in the #questions channel.
3. Teams can discuss in their respective #team channels.
4. QuizMaster will give a sufficient time before closing the pounces.
5. To confirm pounces, you can type the answer and tag @qm
(@qm is a role given to the QuizMaster, so the participant does not need to type
the QuizMaster’s name).
Thus, the QuizMaster can see your answer.
6. All participants must turn off their mics unless it is their turn to answer. The
participating teams must appoint a spokesperson to call out the answers (and not
all team members calling out the answer simultaneously).
7. Bounces will be permitted. If the answer is deemed wrong and the question
passes on, the team must turn off their mics. Then the next team's spokesperson
will turn on the mic and start speaking.
8. QuizMaster will display the answer sheet and reveal points at the end of every
question.

4. The participants are required to click multiple well-detailed photographs of
their artwork in either .png formats / .jpeg formats.
5. Participants must click the photographs of their artwork.

5. Every participant must have their school tie or ID Card lanyard visible in the
background/corner of each of their photographs.

manner.

Pool A and 10:30:00 a.m. for Pool B.
3. Participants who use Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator / Any Raster or
Vector Graphics Editor must submit their logos in a .png file as well as (if
possible) .psd file / .ai file including separate, well- defined layers for Text,
Images & Backgrounds. All external fonts used must also be submitted.
4. Participants using Paper and Pencil must submit multiple coloured, well-
detailed photograph of their logo in either .png formats / .jpeg formats.
