Individual Job Responsibility

WALA SA BOSS MO ANG LAHAT NG KASAGUTAN. Some of us are too

dependent on our bosses, we think they have all the answers to our needs. Truth is,
they are not superhumans as we imagine them to be.

We are hired to add value to the organization. We are important parts of a body

that if we do not function well, the whole system will suffer. Our bosses may be
the head but without hands that help, he will not be able to keep the group healthy
and alive!

How do we do our part? Let us begin by keeping our skills current and updated.
Let us acquire knowledge and practical skills needed to deliver our tasks well by
learning, reading, attending seminars, taking online courses, listening to podcasts,
watching videos, or even seeking out external mentors. Practice, practice,
PRACTICE is the key to be better in what we do. Don't avoid challenging tasks --
embrace them and learn from them. The skills we earn and develop may help us
with our current and future jobs.

Bosses may be there when the going gets tough but the bosses' responsibility is
only to guide us. We have to roll our sleeves and get our hands dirty to get the task
done.

We take the shots when it comes to our career growth. It is not just our bosses'
job.
