Wife’s Secret

In the suburban areas of the countryside, there is a happy old couple contented in their own way of
living. For over fifty years, they both share all their secrets to each other – in exception on the wife’s
side. She told everything she is hiding, but not the thing inside the shoe box hidden inside her cupboard.
The husband always wonder about what is inside and even try to open it. But as soon as he placed his
palms on the cover of the shoe box, he immediately remember what his wife said: “Do not open it, ever!
“ And that is how all his attempts always failed, but in the end, he does it to avoid arguments.

One day, his wife became ill and no matter how hard the husband struggles, his wife does not recover.
Finally, it is the same time that the wife told his husband about her only one secret. The wife asks his
husband to get the shoe box out of her cupboard. Then, as she unravel it, two crochet dolls and a very
thick bundle of peso bills showed up.

The wife said, “Whenever we argue about something, dear, I just put my anger in crocheting dolls. “
The husband was shocked and concluded in his mind that they just fought twice in their entire life.
However, the husband questioned his wife about the bundle of cash. “But how about the thick parcel of
money? How did you get those huge amount of savings?”, the husband said. The wife smiled while lying
on her bed and said, “I get those by selling the other dolls. “
