I speak up Bluntly - Sukirtharani

More than 165 million individuals in India are repeatedly being liable to
separation, misuse and viciousness essentially in light of their station. In India's
"shrouded politically-sanctioned racial segregation," untouchability consigns
Dalits all through the nation to a lifetime of isolation and mishandle. Position
based divisions keep on dominating in lodging, marriage, business and general
social association—divisions that are fortified through monetary blacklists and
physical savagery.
The age-old caste system is one of the main causes for social inequality in our
country. It has contributed in keeping a large portion of the country's population
backward. The caste system has its sources in the early Vedic circumstances. At
that point it was in existance as Varna framework which partitioned the general
public in four divisions. The leader of this standing framework was the
Brahmins who had learning at sacred writings and were clerics and also
educators. Second in rank were the kshatriyas or the warriors. The rulers
additionally had a place with this station. The Vaisnyas contained those
occupied with exchange and trade. The fourth was the Shudras who were
thought to be the most reduced standing and were the skilled workers, artisans
and the cultivators who served the other three. Outside these four, there was a
fifth gathering of untouchables who were treated with scorn and were looked
downward on.
These caste prejudices still plague our society and even become influential
factors at the .me of elections. Politicians encourage and exploit their attidues
for their own gains. Discrimination against low-castes is widely prevalent and
has kept a large percentage of our copulation backward. It is perhaps one of the
main causes of India's backwardness.
Today even though, the caste system has been weakened, but it still has
considerable power, particularly among the rural people. Thus, it has not been
totally rooted out. We can put an end to this evil by spreading education and
creating awareness among the people throughout the country.
