★ The first metro rail network in Bihar will come up at an estimated cost of Rs.
13,411.24 crore and it will be completed by 2024.

★ Bihar finance minister Sushil Kumar Modi presented Bihar budget on 11th February
for 2019-20.
★ In a significant judgement, the Patna high court on 19th February struck down the
facility of life time allotment of bungalows to former Chief Ministers with unlimited
financial maintenance facilities.
★ The Bihar Assembly on 18th February passed the Bihar Private School (Fee
Regulation) Bill, 2019, which mandates more that 7% annual increase on fees. The
schools planning increase in fee by more than 7% will require approaching the
committee six months prior to the commencement of the new season.
★ First aquatic census conducted by Zoological Survey of India, Wildlife Trust of India
and Tilka Majhi University, Bhagalpur has found out that there are only 1150
dolphins in different rivers of Bihar.
★ PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of multi super specialty hospital in
Bhagalpur on 17th February.
★ Bihar is home to around half of the estimated 3000 dolphins population in the
country.
★ Bihar has become the first state in the country to have raised a special dog squad to
detect liquor consignment.
