 ‫ب ِْس ِم اللَّ ِه ال َّر ْح َٰم ِن ال َّر ِح ِيم‬
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

‫الْ َح ْم ُد لِلَّ ِه َر ِّب الْ َعالَ ِم َني‬

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds

‫ال َّر ْح َٰم ِن ال َّر ِح ِيم‬

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

ِ ‫َمالِ ِك يَ ْو ِم ال ِّد‬
‫ين‬
Master of the Day of Judgement.

‫إِيَّ َاك نَ ْع ُب ُد َوإِيَّ َاك نَ ْستَ ِع ُني‬

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

َ ِّ ‫ا ْه ِدنَا‬
‫الرصا َط الْ ُم ْستَ ِقي َم‬
Guide us to the straight path.

ِ ‫رصا َط الَّ ِذي َن أَنْ َع ْم َت َعلَ ْي ِه ْم َغ ْ ِري الْ َم ْغ ُض‬

‫وب‬ َ ِ
‫الضالِّ َني‬
َّ ‫َعلَ ْي ِه ْم َو َال‬
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who
evoked [Your] anger, nor of those who are astray.

Surah al-Fatiha is the very first chapter of the Quran. Muslims recite this surah at the start of each unit of
prayer (raka'ah). This chapter is so special that it's referred as Umm al-Kitaab, which means “Mother of the
Book”. So, let's start learning this beautiful surah!

‫الضالِّ َني‬
َّ ‫َعلَ ْي ِه ْم َو َال‬
Siraata la-dheena an-'amta 'alaihim ghayri l-maghdoobi 'alaihim wallaa d-daalleen
