Objective
I have grown to find out that teaching is a passion that burns bright in my heart and my dreams are to
reach out to the students who need the most help. My professional goal is to be an effective and
entertaining 2nd-grade bilingual teacher at a public school located in El Paso, Texas.

I was in AVID my whole high school career and learned important college readiness skills.
TAFE
Joining the Texas Association of Future Educators helped me realize that teaching was truly my
passion.

Student Council
Being a student council officer for three years brought out my inner leader and taught me how to lead
successfully.

Volunteer Work
Manuel Puentes Middle School—35+ hours
As a current educator, I often participate in afterschool activities or weekend projects to benefit our students.
Child Crisis Center Thrift Shop—12+ hours
I was able to in for a few weekends and sort through all the donations received, then display them on
the sales floor.
Kingdom Kids (ALFC)—75+ hours
I volunteer regularly at my church’s nursery and lead a small group of children within the ages of 5-12
every weekend. I also volunteer when we host any special camps for children during the summer or
any other unique time.
Community Outreach (ALFC)—30+
I will help set up, donate, and distribute any sort of product available to the community during the
summer, Christmas time, back-to-school season, food pantry, or any other time my church is able to
help the community.

Bilingual
Given that I have lived in a border city my whole life, both Spanish and English are part of my every day life.
Project management
Through student council and the Terry SELC, I have learned how to properly manage tasks in a way that is
efficient for everyone and meet timely deadlines.
Leadership/ Management
I have been given the opportunity, whether through school or jobs, to be a leader, officer, or a manager
numerous times.
Time Management
Having to work and attend school full-time has taught me to effectively schedule every task.
