"Me Before You": By: Jojo Moyes
Jojo Moyes (named after the Beatles' song) was born in 1969 and grew up in
London. After a varied career including stints as a minicab controller, typer
of braille statements for blind people for NatWest, and brochure writer for
Club 18-30 she did a degree at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College,
London University. In 1992 She won a bursary financed by The Independent
newspaper to attend the postgraduate newspaper journalism course at City
University, and apart from 1994 when she worked in Hong Kong for the
Sunday Morning Post, she worked at The Independent for 10 years, including
stints as Assistant news editor and Arts and Media Correspondent.
She has been a full time novelist since 2002, when her first book, Sheltering
Rain was published. Jojo has twice won the Romantic Novelists' Association
Novel of the Year Award: in 2011 for The Last Letter From Your Lover and
in 2003 for Foreign Fruit. The Ship of Brides and Silver Bay were shortlisted
for the 2005 and 2007 RNA award and Silver Bay was shortlisted for the
inaugural Good Housekeeping 2007 Book of the Year award.
Her 2012 novel, Me Before You was nominated for Book of the Year at the
UK Galaxy Book Awards. The book has also been adapted into a movie and
was released in June 2016.Moyes lives on a farm in Saffron Walden, Essex
with her husband, journalist Charles Arthur, and their three children.

1. Which character from the novel do you admire the
most? Explain your reasons.
- I admired Lou for being a hardworking and a independent women. Lou
got a lots of responsibilities and for being a persevere girl, she situated
in a situation which makes her feel lonely , but through her strong traits
she overcome all of it. Even she lost her love she continually live her life
and become the most sweetest girl i ever known.
5. What are the things that you have learned from the
novel?
-The lesson this book taught me is that sometimes life has other plans
for you, and while we are here living, we should take what we can from
life and do amazing things with it.
