2. I think what is more satisfying inside our workplace is that our school administrator creates a
positive working environment that leads to accomplishing simple or even harder tasks. Our
school leader make sure that the goal we set must be obtain in a certain duration of time. She
also believes that if someone is not familiar with his/her assigned tasks or having a hard time
accomplishing his/her duties, she must motivate her subordinates in order for them to finish
his/her task. The best way to describe the theory of job satisfaction within our working
environment is a mixture of Expectancy Theory and Operant approach since most of us teachers
in our school were satisfy when our school head motivates us positively to achieve the goals
we’d set.

3. A Day With Mrs. Emily D.R. Mendoza

It was happened during my student teaching years in Kaparangan Elementary School when
I realized that teaching is the career I want to pursue for the next years. At first, I thought that
teaching is too simple for my competencies, courses are too easy to learn. But that thinking
became a misfortune when we were deployed into different schools to apply those theories and
concepts that our instructors were thought when I was in completing my academic
requirements. One of my saddest experience is that I wasn’t able to pass my lesson plan because
my cooperating teacher got sick for several weeks and I need to fill up her duties and
responsibilities as a real teacher in an actual classroom scenario. When I was called in the office
regarding that matter, my hands were literally shaking in too much nervousness because I
thought that I might get humiliated with my actions. However, there was a flip of situation. The
fact that I might get reprimanded on my failure is just my stepping stone on achieving greater
heights in this said field. Ma’am Emily just reminded me that it was just ok since I was in my
practice teaching and gave an extension to complete those lesson plans. You can felt her
disappointment towards my action but you can also sense her concern towards me since she is
an understanding school leader. She always apply situational approach in the reason that we she
knew that we are newbies in a real teaching world and always give her big hand to us to learn
new things and to able to apply it when we are become a full-pledged educators.
