Today we are concentrating on a most fundamental law which governs the human

affairs, which governs the events of the human kingdom. It is called as the “ The
Law of Karma ”.

There are several spiritual laws.“ The Law of Consciousness ”, which states that “
Everything is Consciousness... matter, energy, thoughts... all are consciousness
itself ! Everything is fundamentally consciousness. !

This is The Law of Consciousness, the First Law of Spiritual Science.

Yet another law of the Spiritual Science says, “ Consciousness incarnates in several
life forms, in several human forms ” and it is called as “ The Law of Reincarnation ”.

The Third Law in the Spiritual Science domain is “ The Law of Karma ”, which is
simply explained as “ As we sow so we reap ”.

Yet another law in the Spiritual Science edifice is “ The Law of Constant Progression
”. Which essentially means, “ Whatever we do, we add to our experience and,
therefore, we move forward in our evolution ! There is nothing like going back ! ”

There is, then, the Fifth Law in the domain of Spiritual Science. It says, “ You can
hasten your progress ”. It is “ The Law of the Hastening Progression ”. We can
speed up our progress through appropriate means of meditation.

The Sixth and Final Law in the Spiritual Science domain is, “ The Law of Uncertainty
”, which says, “ You can never accurately pin-point the exact state of affairs ! ” It is
bound to be so because there are billions and billions of factors governing the
constant dynamic situations !

For now, we will focus on “ The Law of Karma ”.

The great master Jesus Christ said, “ As you sow so you reap ”. Whatever we do,
the results thereof we will have to enjoy and we will certainly enjoy ! In other words
“ we create our own realities ”.

This Law of Karma is the most important law, which a beginner in the Spiritual
Science domain should understand ! This is the law without whose assistance, we
cannot fathom the so-called mysteries of human life. “ The Law of Karma ” is
always studied in conjunction with “ The Law of Reincarnation ”. Unless we
understand The Law of Karma, we will never generate right and proper karma !

This word ‘ karma ’ is a sanskrit word, which means ‘ any action ’.

Every action is a cause unto another result. Whatever we do, it leads to its own
consequent situations ! If we are not careful in crossing the road, then we have to
pay for it ! If we over-speed, we have to pay for it ! If we are not careful with our
words, in our dealings with our fellow human beings, we will have to pay for them !

If we over eat, we have to pay for it ! If we under eat, we will have to pay for it. If
we over indulge ourselves in drinking, we will have to pay for it ! We cannot over
drink and shirk ourselves from the consequences ! Friends, the present gets
evolved automatically from the past !

“ The Law of Karma ” and “ The Law of Cause and Effect ” ...link the past, the
present and the future.

My dear friends ! We have to desist from what we shouldn’t do. Otherwise we reap
what we do not want to !

We want good to happen to ourselves but we deny to do good to others. We want

good to be done by others, without doing good to others ourselves, which is simply
ridiculous ! If we do bad to others more bad comes to us from everybody else; if we
do good to others more good comes to us from everybody.

We eat the flesh of the animals by killing them, shedding the blood, giving much
pain to all the animal gods, we got to pay for it. There are so many reasons why we
should never kill animals. It is very very bad karma. Human beings are not to
disturb the animal gods, animal brothers ! Human beings have to care for the
animal brothers ! This is what is expected from the human kingdom. But
throughout the earth the humanity has been, and is being, very cruel, very stupid
and self-defeating.

My dear friends, the whole humanity is suffering from its own heinous crimes...
especially killing animal brothers and eating the carcasses thereof. ‘ God ’ is not
punishing any body ! Our own wrong choices, our own stupid choices,... our own
bad karma, our own violent karma... punishes us ! Not letting another life form to
exist... what a sin !

So, my dear friends, the whole of the humanity,... from America to India,... China
to Japan... and Australia to Argentina... all the countries and all the people are
committing the most heinous karma in killing the animal brothers and eating the
flesh thereof.

Flesh eaters do not know what they are doing and all these people are even very
religious... church going, temple going, mosque going... what a blasphemy ! It is a
simple law “ As you do unto others, you will be done by ! ” You cannot expect
otherwise ! It is a simple reflection of the Newtonian Dynamics in human situations-
“ Law of action and reaction are equal and opposite ”Whatever we give... pain or
pleasure... the same we receive.

Seeing the earth, we also see that the children are treated badly, the illiterate are
treated badly, and the black people are treated badly. What is the consequence of
treating other human beings badly ? Remember, we will have to reincarnate again
as the oppressed ones and pay for... in terms of whatever suffering we have given
to others. If we are a male and we have oppressed our counterpart female, we will
be reborn as a female to get that atrocity back.

My dear friends, unless we understand “ the truth of several life-times ”, “ the truth
of consciousness ” ... we cannot understand these things. Whether we understand
these things or not, these do exist ! My dear freinds, remember that we have to
wash out all our previous negative bad karmas before we can be free, happy,
healthy and tranquil. My dear friends, if we have the burden of karma hanging on
us, we will not have any health, any happiness and any peace. We have to clear the
deadly weight of our own stupid karma !

First of all, all animal flesh eating must be stopped and every one should become a
vegetarian !

The Law of Karma boils down to becoming a vegetarian first ! If we are not a
vegetarian, we have not even entered the portals of the Kingdom of God. ‘ To be a
vegetarian ’ ...is the first very great step in the journey to the Kingdom of God. We
have to love our animal friends, co-planetary beings ! This is the essence of The
Law of Karma. Once we set right this major point, then, my dear friends, we have
to take up ‘ meditation ’ . Intense meditation will dissolve all our bad karma in no
time whatsoever.

These are the two great steps my dear friends, one is vegetarianism, second is
meditation. That’s how we will come out of ‘ The Chain of Karma ’ ! Then we will be
a free being and a liberated being ! Only two steps my dear friends and my dear
masters, my dear gods !

Every thought that we think, every word that we utter, and every action that we do
with our physical body... becomes a cause and creates appropriate conditions which
are called as ‘ effects ’. The effects which we receive from our environment have
been created only by our words and deeds and thoughts. If we change our
thoughts, if we change our words, if we change our deeds, we will reap different
effects ! Let’s sow right deeds in our lives ! Let’s reap right consequences, happy
consequences, and healthy consequences.

My dear friends, appearances are deceptive ! From the outside, a person may look
very nice to the others and may appear to be very very happy... but the inside
picture may be totally different ! In fact, it is ever so !

People tend to say- “ He is happy ; he may do all unlawful things, yet he is happy ”.
No ! No ! No ! Such a statement arises from analyzing a very very small sample,
unscientific sample, and generalizing on the very very scant sample. We have to
sample data from many life-times to understand truth and put together the
essential wisdom of : “ The Law of Cause and Effect ” or “ The Law of Karma ”.

Bad people look like happy people; good people look like sad people. No !
Appearances are deceptive ! If we carefully close in on the personality of a person,
talk to him/her deeply... then we will understand how miserable or how blissful
he/she is.

My dear friends, good deeds create a Paradise in us. Bad deeds and harmful deeds
create a Hell in us. The hell in our mind is the result of our bad deeds, our violent
deeds, and our lack of love to the animal friends. All these create a mental hell
where we reside. When we do good to others, co life-forms on the planet, take care
of them... then we will create heaven of mind. Don’t we know what John Milton said
?... “ The mind in itself creates a hell of a heaven and heaven of a hell ”.

The Law of Karma gives us the basic understanding that we create our own
realities. We are ever the architects of our own destiny ! When we understand
properly that the Law of Karma is the Sole Law which decides, governs, all the
human situations, event formations, we will learn to be more careful with our
words, with our deeds and with our thoughts ! Otherwise we will only be careless
and stupid and we will go down, down and down into the gutter !

No doctor can help us ! No hospital can help us ! No drug can help us ! Only
meditation will help us ! Only vegetarianism will help us ! So eat only the plant
food... but not the bloody food ! The vegetable kingdom alone is meant as food !
We can eat plenty of plant food... but not even an ounce of animal flesh.

Life is for making merry, but not at the cost of our own future, our own subsequent
life-times, our own continued happy existence.

Law of Karma also reveals that “ As we think, so we become ”, “ As the mind is, so
will be the life ”. The more we make our mind empty, tranquil, happy, the more our
words, our thoughts, our deeds will be impeccable ! To make our words clean, to
make our thoughts clean, and to make our deeds clean... meditation is the only
thing.

So, understanding “ The Law of Karma ” means immediately becoming a

vegetarian, becoming a meditator, and understanding, once for all, that we alone
create our own respective realities.

When we understand this Law, then the idea of ‘ tragedy ’ or ‘ injustice ’ happening
to us will be instantly thrown out ! No ‘ injustice ’ has been, or is being, done to us !
Only justice has been, or is being, done according to our actions ! There has been,
and there is, no tragedy... there is only justice ! Only righteous events have been
happening to us !

The great master Richard Bach said, “ The mark of your ignorance is the depth of
your belief in injustice and tragedy ”. All the injustices, all the tragedies exist
because we have committed injustices and we have created tragedies in others
lives. If we desist from doing injustice, then we will not have any injustice in our
life. We will have only justice. Sow justice, reap justice ! Sow injustice, reap injustice
! That’s justice ! So in human conditions there is no injustice whatsoever.

“ As you sow so you reap ”. This has to be understood right from our childhood of
our lives ! When we are still in the childhood, parents should have taught us the law
of karma. Parents should live according to the essence of The Law of Karma... then
only the children will understand. Children do not understand from what the parents
speak but they understand from the way the parents live.
My dear friends, there is no outside authority which defines our life-situations. We
are the authority to define our own life-situations... all the times and in all the
places.

The Law of Karma is the singular law that rules the lives of all people !

Whether we are in the physical body, in the astral body, or the causal body... it
doesn’t matter in which body we are... in which country we are... in which situation
we are... but we have to be careful with our words ! We have got to be absolutely
careful with our deeds and thoughts ! We have to teach the children about The Law
of Karma.

We should not allow our children to eat meat. For that, we have to stop eating the
horrible thing ourselves ! And my dear friends, let’s understand that all diseases are
fructification of bad karma. Meditation-born cosmic energy alone burns off bad
karma ! So let’s keep to vegetarianism ...and let’s keep to meditation.

There are plenty of books written by great spiritual masters concerning Law of
Karma and we have to read all of them ! If we are a student of physics, we read a
lot books on physics. If we are to be a student of meta-physics, we, then, have to
read a lot of books on meta... physics ! All this goes without saying !

My dear friends, it is not just one statement out of The Bible that we take out and
try to justify, because it is said in ‘ Bible ’. No !Law of Karma is a universal truth !
Law of Karma has got nothing to do with Buddha, Jesus or Krishna. Even if these
three people were not existent, still “ The Law of Karma ” would exist ! The Law of
Gravity does not depend upon Sir Isaac Newton ! Even if Isaac Newton was not
born, gravity would be gravity ! The Law of Karma is “ The Law of Karma ”, whether
Jesus Christ exists or not, whether Krishna exists or not, whether Buddha exists or
not !

The Law of Karma governs perfectly ! It is the simple beauty of nature ! Law of
Karma does not describe the ghastliness of creation ! It only describes the beauty
of creation ! It is not mindless cruelty ! It is mighty compassion ! Law of Karma is
not a mechanical law... it is a creative law !

Today, we have understood about The Law of Karma very briefly... but it is enough !
It is enough understanding about “ The Law of Karma ”:.... if we become regular
meditators and permanent vegetarians ! If we do not become a vegetarian then we
have had it. Nobody can save us.

There is no heavenly personalised ‘ saviour ’ ! Our own deeds are the Saviour ! Be a
vegetarian ! Be a meditator !
