    A word processor is an application software program used to manipulate (handle, work with or

    manage) text data. In other words, it is a program that allows users to create and edit documents
    such as letters, reports, poems, news articles, school notes, etc. Examples of word processors
    include Microsoft Office Word (2007, 2010, 2013 & 2016), LibreOffice Writer and OpenOffice Writer.

    In this course we shall be using Microsoft Office Word 2007. A labelled image of the Microsoft Word
    2007 interface can be seen below.
