2. Objectives of the Project

MyCity is an android application in which the user can send the
picture of the garbage with the location details to the municipality
authority (admin) and the authority people can take the quick action. The
admin will view the complaint and he can also view the location details
via google map. MyCity application will allow the user to view the
complaint and its status filed by other users.

5. Structure of the program

5.1Analysis
Requirement analysis is a software-engineering task that
bridges the gap between system levels requirements engineering
and software design. This is the most important phase of the
analysis because without understanding the requirements one
cannot design the final structure of the system.

 Smart City Garbage Alert is an android application provides the

interface to the user to select the picture of the garbage and send it
to the municipality authority with their location details.
 The municipality authorities will receive the complaint
immediately and they can take the quick action and they can
update the status of the complaint.
 The municipality authorities can also view the location details
which is attached with the complaint using google map just by one
click.
 The users can also view the other complaint which was filed by
the other users

5.2Module Description
This application consists following Modules.

 Registration module: Those who wants to file a complaint

against the garbage problem using this app have to register with
their personal details as a user.
 Login module: Once the user is successfully registered then they
can login to their account using user name and password.
 Send complaint module: In this module user can select the
picture from the storage and it allows the user to send it to the
municipality authority with location details.
 View complaint module: In this module user can view the
complaint which is filed by the other users.
 Change status module: In this module admin can change the
status of the complaint.
 Admin complaint view module: in this module admin can view
the single complaint of the user when the user filed a complaint.

the complaint of different status. Ex- Admin can only view the
complaint which has resolved, on progress, or action taken.

 Internet is must to store data in the cloud
 High speed Internet is necessary

8. Future Scope of the Project

 In future we can develop a web application for the municipality
authority to have all the controls.
 We can allow the user to send SMS to the municipality authority.
