2. Principal Consultant – Infosys, Pune-India (Dec 2010 – May 2017)
a. Head – Business Technology Services, Pune-India (2016-17)
 I was accountable for client project management for Tier 1 clients of leading Australian Telecom
provider.
 Managed the teams delivering Client Projects, Network services, PMO, resource management and
various supporting functions.
 I managed overall Governance and critical escalations.

  I managed to deliver various automations creating efficiency across board.
 Annual revenue of $10 million plus and team size of 125 plus.
b. Onsite Delivery Manager, Aberdeen-UK & Oslo-Norway (2015)
 Accountable for large program involving delivery of IT Setup for demerger of European Oil
Technology company from its parent company headquartered in Norway.
 This program included green field infrastructure setup, Business application set-up, Data migration,
end user migration and service management set-up. Complete DR setup was implemented and tested
before Go-Live.
 Program covered 20+ global locations spreading across Southeast, Middle East, Europe, Canada and
US.
 Managed multiple vendors including cloud service provider, network services provider, OEM
vendors, end user services vendor among others.
 Managed the complex delivery in highly stretched timelines.
 Program budget was approx. $15 million and team size 75 plus.

c. Principal Consultant, Global locations & Pune-India, (2013 and 2014)

 Responsible for Infrastructure transformation services for Rest of the world for Energy,
Communications and Services vertical.
 Led and was part of few large winning deals, to name few entertainment company based in Macau
($35 mil.), large utility company in North east US ($200 million plus) among many.
 Worked on creating and enhancing IT Infrastructure transformation service/solution (Inhouse Lab,
vendor tie-ups etc.) capability.

d. Program Manager, Melbourne-Australia and Hongkong (2011 and 2012)

 This program involved managing new transformation initiative i.e. Virtual Desktop infrastructure for
leading Australian telecom provider.
 This program included proof of concept design, implementation & testing of use cases in live
environment. Following outcomes and success of POC, production design, implementation and
phased rollouts.
 Program was based out of Melbourne, Sydney and Manila.
 Multiple vendors were involved like Microsoft, Cisco, NetApp, Citrix among others.
 This was technically very challenging project especially reaching to the point of leveraging modern
technology effectively for business with commercial benefit, efficient and enhanced end user
experience.

3. Head – Project Management Centre, GISD, BTCI, Pune-India (Sep 2007 – Sep 2010)
 I led IT Infrastructure project management team based out of BTCI India.
 I was also responsible for IT Infrastructure projects being managed by Project managers based out of
India in a matrix delivery environment.
 This involved resource/people management, stakeholder management, escalation management etc.
 Some of the key program delivered were Vendor connectivity, in-house developed audit mandated
application deployment & rollout across 12 countries, model core banking application deployment
across environments, green field country banking business launch, new site (office) set-up among
others.

 I joined Barclays India as First employee in IT Infrastructure function to lead the setup (Green field) of
various practices like Unix, Database, Middleware, Solution design, service operations and project
management as part of their Global offshore initiative. I worked with all global IT infrastructures vertical
leaders and established these practices end to end in India.

4. Head - IT Infrastructure, Principal Global Services, Pune-India (April 2006 to Sep 2007)
 I joined as part of India management team to set-up and lead IT Infrastructure practice.
 This was green field/start up captive organisation set-up.
 I was responsible for overall design, building and managing PGS office IT infrastructure in Pune.
 I was instrumental in formulation and implementation of various organisational initiatives, Corporate
policies and processes.
 I was part of team developing Risk Mitigation Strategy, building local IS policy and processes.
Responsible for Information Security and IS Compliance.
 I build practices (teams) like service support, client, security administration and analysis, Server
(Wintel & Unix) and networks.
 I was responsible for ensuring Network & Server reliability and availability of ‘Clustered
Infrastructure’ with automatic fail over and recovery mechanisms.
 I was responsible for ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery in conjunction with global
teams. This included Business Impact Analysis and Disaster Recovery Plan.
 I build metrics around Reporting and MIS for IT Infrastructure function and was responsible for
escalation handling on user issues, SLA breaches among others.
 I led successful implementation of ISO for IT Infrastructure function and got certification.

5. Manager, Technology, CRISIL Limited, Mumbai-India (September 1996 to March 2006)

 I was responsible for IT Infrastructure development and support to the various CRISIL businesses.
 During course, I managed designing, building and managing CRISIL’s group wide technology
infrastructure spread across four various locations in Mumbai (78,000 Sq. Ft), seven cities across
India.
 I was responsible for creating a group wide IT related policies and processes.
 I was responsible for building and ensuring network reliability and availability of ‘Clustered Core
Infrastructure’ with fail over and recovery mechanisms.
 I was responsible for Information Security, configuring ports and firewall access rules.
 I was responsible for overseeing technology strategy affecting procurement, projects, R&D, tools,
among others.
 I was also responsible for ensuring business continuity, back-up of data servers and E-mail servers.
 I was responsible for IT Vendor management; negotiations to acquire the best deals by getting them
to accept tough SLAs including penalties for non-compliance.
 I have been a stakeholder and Infrastructure project manager for web-based applications like Real-
Time News Service applications and publishing systems.

Professional Achievements
 I have built and managed IT infrastructure practice (build & run). I have led several offshore transitions
programs successfully during my last roles.

 Delivering complex demerger program in stretched timelines successfully.
 Managing transformation program leveraging emerging technologies (VDI) to enhance end user
experience. Evolution through requirements and solution challenges to final Go-live.
 Vendor connectivity for 10 vendors to provide access to more than 500 applications hosted at strategic
data centres across environments for purpose of doing application development, testing and production
support.
 Design, planning and implementation of IT Infrastructure from scratch for PGS including team building,
setting up IT infrastructure and operations, managing expansion from few to 450 employees within 1
year of operations.
 I was party to various strategic and policy decision for Principal Global Services Organisation.
 I was responsible for migration to MPLS VPN connectivity between offices across country and within
city resulting to better interoffice communication (both data and voice).
 I completed the SOX assessment (COBIT) and review within a month along with other team members.
 Evaluated and selected a primary & disaster recovery data centre to be used for web-hosting and E-
mails.
 I was key contributor to development and implementation of dot com (Crisil.com Ltd) initiative.
 I designed & maintained WAN for CRISIL and saved cost using VOFR.
 I led implementation of Lotus Notes Migration from MS Mail to Lotus Notes with no downtime to end
users.
