DETAILS
RAFF: People should enjoy games for fantasy and not be such tryhard powergamers
about it... and there needs to be more cthonics stuff in the game. Every class I
play needs to be buffed and everything anyone else is playing needs to be nerfed
and have their stuff removed.
14) Who has had the biggest impact on your character’s life?
Name and briefly describe at least one person who had a significant impact on how
your character perceives the world today. You can name more than one, but they
should each reflect different aspects of your character’s beliefs. Use this as a
reference point when your character has to make difficult decisions (i.e., “What
would so-and-so do?”).
GRIFF: parents
ARK: Father
SILKE: Uses the command line in programming lingo, operating system snob
PLAYER
ARK: Harem
18) What should the other players know about your character?
These should be major thematic points, your character’s general emotion (if it
isn’t secret), potential surprises or areas that might be difficult, and any other
pertinent information. Also start sketching out potential interactions, such as
another character you might go to for help (or who might go to you for help), or
someone you’ll probably butt heads with. Getting these things out in the open is
important to ensure there aren’t unpleasant surprises.
RAFF: Too niave to know what others should think about them
SILKE: Dont talk to them about technical stuff, The most technical character of the
group
GRIFF: Wing it
SILKE: Exploration
Have each player write a brief anecdote from his character's past, then pass the
sheet to the left. The player it's now in front of writes himself into that
exploit. Boom. Every character now has 2 connections.
Unfortunately for him, Toshi’s rival decided to disgrace himself so badly that he
had to be demoted. The position landed on Toshi’s lap after all, much to his
dismay. It took several months of playing games with “his crew”, random internet
strangers from all over the world, until he could get over his anger. One of them
helped the most, a guy from Eastern Europe living and working in Japan, by pointing
out various assumptions and cultural blind spots that made the position so painful
for Toshi.
Griffins character was after a pre-order only cosmetic, and sought out one of the
longest playing players who only ever participated in RP. It took a bit of playing
along, but he convinced the roleplayer to duel him for the cosmetic. The roleplayer
tried to up the stakes even more for dramatic flair; whomever loses would 'leave
this land forever'. Griffin scoffed, won, and took his cosmetic and went about his
tuesday happily. The roleplayer, both abiding by his own in-character honor and
unable to keep up the exact same character without the cosmetic, either abandoned
the game entirely, or started roleplaying on a new character and refused to break
character about it and tell anyone.
Akio had once banded together a few friends from school INCLUDING ME, and took a
bus to the industrial district late at night, where he wanted to hitch a ride on a
train until it started going too fast. They were high on marihuana at the time
which was why this seemed like a fun plan, and upon catching the moving train, they
stayed on a bit too long. One of them jumped off and hit the ground rolling, Akio
and the rest decided to just wait it out. Thirty kilometers later, the train slowed
enough for the boys to disembark, leaving them to walk home, as the busses had
stopped running. I and they got home just in time to shower and prep for the school
day.
"The boys and I were celebrating living through Finals week in Tech school by
barhopping along the main drag downtown. We were at the third bar, and I was just
getting drunk enough that I was having trouble against the Konbawa Castle mini-boss
in "Go! Raid!™" on my phone, when I lost connectivity to the server. It didn't even
save! I'm swearing at my phone in English like I always do when there's lag (It's
never my fault, I'll have you know!) when this stiff shirt gets up from the bar,
shouting with a slur "My sherverth need me!" and he leaves in a rush. This is too
much of a coincidence in my drunken mind, so I excuse myself, and I follow the
stiff shirt outside…
