General Instructions
 All the questions are compulsory
 There are two sections, section A comprises of 5 questions of 2 marks each and section B comprises of 9
questions of 4 marks each.

Section A (2 marks each)


1. The lengths of three sides of a triangular field are 40 m, 24 m and 32 m respectively. The area of the triangle
is

8. Calculate the area of the shaded region given that ABD  90 :

9. The perimeter of a triangular field is 420 m and its sides are in the ratio 6 : 7 : 8. Find the area of the
triangular field.
10. The sides of a triangular field are 600 m, 640 m and 700 m.
(a) Find the cost of fencing at the rate of Rs. 50 per meter leaving doors of 2m on each side.
(b) Find the cost of levelling the field at Rs 50 per square meter.
