Submission of PSBB for three regions in East Java was officially approved by
the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) of the Republic of Indonesia. The three regions
are Surabaya City, parts of Sidoarjo Regency and Gresik Regency.

Now the East Java Provincial Government along with the three regional
governments are preparing regional regulations to regulate the technical
implementation of the implementation of the PSBB.

PSBB implementation in three regencies / cities in East Java is estimated to

take effect from the end of April 2020. PSBB decisions in three regencies / cities in
East Java were determined on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 through a Decree of the
Minister of Health Number HK.01.07 / Menkes / 264/2020.

As a follow up, the East Java Provincial Government along with three
relevant regional head leaders immediately finalized the draft regional regulation
related to the PSBB.
 East Java Governor, Khofifah Indar Parawansa gave a statement to the media
crew at the Grahadi State Building, Tuesday (21/4) night. His party along with a
number of figures from the East Java Regional Leadership Coordination Forum
(Forkopimda) rushed to finalize the draft Governor Regulation.

It is planned that on Wednesday (22/4) at 10:00 WIB, the three regional

heads concerned will present the Draft Mayor Regulation (Raperwali) and Draft
Regent Regulation (Raperbup).

On the same occasion, the first female governor in East Java revealed that
PSBB in Surabaya City, part of Sidoarjo Regency and Gresik Regency were estimated
to take effect at the end of April 2020. The PSBB determination had gone through
the process of epidemiological studies and consideration of regional readiness
starting from social, economic aspects , and so forth. The next step after the PSBB
submission has been approved by the Minister of Health is to synchronize the
Governor Regulation with the regulations of the three regional heads concerned.

Quoted from Antara, if all the regulations regarding the PSBB were
synergistic, Khofifah gave three days to three regional leaders to socialize them to
the community. After all the stages have been passed, the official PSBB will be
implemented in Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency and Gresik Regency.
