JEDCO was mandated and instructed by the Government in July 2012 by decree number 617 to design the overall structure of the Governorate
Development Fund, to manage the day to day activities of the Fund “Fund Manager” and to be the Anchor Investor by representing the
Government interest.

In order to better respond to this mandate and to other donor-supported MSME development initiatives, JEDCO is in the process of reinforcing his
presence at local level, through the opening Business and Development Units in governorates. These offices will work in close coordination with
the local communities, municipalities, consulting counsels and other social and development agencies located in the governorates to identify the
potential projects based on the needs of the community and on the available human expertise, natural resources and governorates’ comparative
