What have I learned from lecture last time is about water management and land use
impact. In land use impact, we have learned about Source to Sea Approach. S2S is an
approach that aims to produce multiple environmental benefits along the S2S
continuum, recognizes that agriculture and food systems are key drivers of
environmental degradation across landscapes, uses water as an entry point for tracing,
ecosystem flows and developing, multidisciplinary investments, seeks to align
environmental and economic/production objectives and utilizes management tools and
approaches. For the next topic is, we have learned about water resources management
tools which is about Nawab Management. Nawab system is Planning permission for
Local Planning Approval and to help state water manager to alert the water status in
daily operation. We have learned a lot about Scenario sustainable options for Sg. Muda
River Basin,2016. For El-Nino in 2016 – Sg Muda River Basin, Sg Muda Basin rainfall in
2016 was less affected compared to events in 1980s and 1990s. Lastly, we have
exposed about Long term options which is alternative to increase storage.
