GENERAL AND MAINTENANCE OF SYSTEM AND EQUIPMENT

The design, installation, testing and commissioning of the system is in accordance with
the requirement and rules and regulations of:-

a. The Electrical Department , Malaysia (JBE)

b. Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)
c. The Electricity Supply Regulation, 1990
d. The Electrical Supply Act, 1990
e. The relevant Malaysia Standard and Other Standard Approved By Local
Authorities

It is important at this junction to remind the operation staff at IMU EDUCATION to

observe strictly the following basic rules issued by JBE (Department of Electricity
Supply) with regards to the operation requirement for electrical system.

1. No person is allowed to carry out work on any of electrical system in TNB

11KV SSU Substation unless TNB personnel only.
2. No person is allowed the access in to 11KV SSU Substation, unless he/she is
accompanied by TNB
3. All maintenance works on TNB 11KV SSU Substation which carried out by
TNB personnel in charge at SSU Substation.
4. All dangerous occurrence or electrical accident must be reported to TNB
5. The 11KV SSU Substation shall be provided with electrical distribution
diagrams

OPERATION OF SYSTEM AND EQUIPMENT

MECHANICAL VENTILATION SYSTEM

A mechanical ventilation system that uses powered fans to provide fresh air and exhaust
air to the 11KV SSU Substation when the natural forces of air pressure and gravity are
not enough to circulate air through the building. The mechanical ventilation system is
used to control indoor air quality, excess humidity, odors, and contaminant can often be
controlled through dilution or replacement with outside air.

ON/OFF SEQUENCE

Mechanical ventilation system can be controlled by a building management system

(BMS) to maximize area comfort and minimize energy consumption. Regular
inspection and maintenance is necessary to ensure that systems are operating optimally
and
that

occupants understand how the systems operated

LOCATION OF THE STARTER PANEL

The location of the mechanical ventilation starter panel (CP-EAF&FAF-TNB-GF-1) is
located inside the 11KV SSU TNB Substation.

a. The condition of the exhaust and fresh air fan functionality have to be daily
through building management system (BMS) or physical inspection at the 11KV
SSU TNB Substation
b. Conditions of the grille, dampers need to be checked as needed to ensure the
components working correctly, adjust, clean or make good if necessary.
c. Calibrations signals from BMS and fire signal need to be check as needed to
ensure the exhaust and fresh air fan can remotely functional and receive status
from the control room.
