ABSTRACT
In chain drive bicycle, chain and sprockets causes friction. Also the chain will eject

particles of lubricant (grease) into the surrounding parts. It requires regular cleaning and service

like adjusting chain tension and some difficulties while removing rear wheel. In this project

overcome these problems, the shaft drive bicycle is undertaken.

The shaft is connected between the pair of spiral bevel gears. A drive shaft and

propeller shaft is used to transmitting torque to the wheel.

A drive shaft is a replacement of chain to transmit power from the pedal to the wheel

without slip. The both end of the shaft are fitted with the bevel pinion, the bevel pinion is

connected with the rear wheel so the power is transmitted to the rear wheel through the crown

wheel.
